What Is Aws & How To Create An Aws Account?

Let’s first understand from the beginning —

WHAT IS AWS?

AWS, or Amazon Web Services, is a cloud computing platform that provides a wide range of computing, storage, and database services to businesses and individuals. AWS offers an easy-to-use platform that allows users to easily access, manage, and scale their computing resources, all without having to manage physical hardware.

In this blog post, we’ll discuss what is an AWS account and how to create one step by step.

WHAT IS AN AWS ACCOUNT?

The services provided by AWS can be accessed through an AWS account, which functions as a portal. You can use a variety of cloud-based services once you have an AWS account, including virtual servers, storage, and databases, among others.

Now one of the question generally comes in,

Do we have to pay for the AWS accounts we create and the resource we create in the AWS accounts ??

The answer to this question is — NOT REALLY!

As AWS comes with a free-tier benefits that allows customers to go ahead and use various services with limits. Click on this link to know more about free-tier aws.amazon.com/free

But, you have to ensure that if you are within limits then you do not really have to pay for it.

So, consider it like a Trial account for one year that you can make use of it.

One thing you will see at this link that it is their for 12 months.

Another things, that this free-tier offers certain benefits based on services.

So for example if you are using EC2 service.

(one of the service in AWS, you don’t have to remember this name as we will discuss each and every services of it in-detail in the upcoming blogpost.)

But for now, as for this service AWS free-tier supports 750 hours per month and also if you hover on the page you will get exact details over their.

CREATING AN AWS ACCOUNT

Creating an AWS account is a straightforward process.

✅Go to the AWS homepage

Visit the AWS homepage at aws.amazon.com and click on the “Create an AWS Account” button in the top right corner of the screen.

✅Provide your account information

In this you have to follow 5 steps-:

📌Step 1 : Enter your email-address and provide the specific name to your account.

📌Step 2 : At this step, you will have to select the “personal” or “business” and further fill up the required info.

You don’t have to worry at this point, as overall the services available is the same.

Suppose you select the personal and have filled the required fields like full name, Phone number, country name, city name, address etc.

Now, going to the next step.

📌 Step 3 : Specify the debit and credit card information.

Once then, you can click on verify and continue now.

📌 Step 4 : Confirm you identity

Now, at this page you landed up , here you have to confirm your identity and again specify the country and also there will be a security check up to fill it and you will get the verification code on your given number.

📌 Step 5 : Select a support plan

This is the last step finally !

In this step , you have to choose the support plan

Make sure that you choose the basic plan(as for the beginners) and then just click on complete sign up.

CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR ACCOUNT IS NOW CREATED

You can now easily make it into the AWS account.

📌POINTS TO REMEMBER :

Now, whenever you want to log-in into the AWS account

you just have to open up the

✅AWS MANAGEMENT CONSOLE

Always remember! Whenever you want to go to your account just click on

✅Sign-in into the Console

Within there sign -in page

You will be seeing the 2 options there

📌ROOT USER

📌IAM USER

No worries!

For now, you just have to use the root user and enter your email-address which you had made for the account,

next, just specify the password you have created in the sign-up process

Guess what ?

We are great to log-in into our AWS account !

AWS provides over 200 services across various categories such as computing storage, databases, machine learning, and more.
